Strong Storm over Walker, Western Jefferson: Severe Thunderstorm Warning CANCELED
A strong thunderstorm with lots of lightning, heavy rain, gusty winds to 60 mph, and some hail is located along the Walker/Jefferson County line south of Dora. A severe thunderstorm warning was just issued:
It is moving slowly to the southeast at less than 10 mph.
It will affect communities from Gorgas and West Jefferson down to Adamsville, Short Creek, Sylvan Springs, Maytown, Pleasant Grove, Mulga, Hueytown, Dolomite, and Rock Creek.
There is a risk of severe weather through this evening for folks north of a line from Reform to Carbon Hill to Vinemont to Skyline.
The greatest threat is for areas north west of a line from Vernon to Russellville to Killen.
There are severe thunderstorm warning sin northern Mississippi at this hour.

Jefferson, or 7 miles south of Dora, moving southeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.
