TD#6 Becomes Gert Tying a Rare Record
We have gone from 0 to 60 in one day across the Atlantic Basin with three tropical storms being named in one day.
Tropical Depression number 6 has become Tropical Storm Gert tonight, but as we have been saying, it won’t last long. It is being choked by the outflow from Tropical Storm Franklin in the eastern Caribbean.
As you can, I meant it when I said it wouldn’t last long.
Here is the situation across the Atlantic tonight.
Three storms forming on the same calendar day in the Atlantic has happened only twice in history, on September 18, 2020 and on August 15, 1893.
