New Warning for Southern Parts of the Huntsville Metro

This storm has a history of hail and is moving toward Triana, the Arsenal, and Whitesburg. It is capable of damaging winds as well. Lightning is 33 flashes per hour.

The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Southwestern Madison County in north central Alabama…
Southeastern Limestone County in north central Alabama…
Central Morgan County in north central Alabama…

* Until 915 PM CDT.

* At 828 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Priceville,
or near Decatur, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

Southern Huntsville, Decatur, Redstone Arsenal, Priceville, Triana,
Marshall Space Flight Center, Huntsville International Airport,
Mooresville, Laceys Spring and Valhermoso Springs.
