Here is the Latest at 5:50 p.m.
We have a new severe thunderstorm warning for southeastern Marshall County until 6 p.m. The strongest storm is passing just southwest of Guntersville.
Another warning remains in effect until 615 p.m. for parts of Jackson and DeKalb counties in Northeast Alabama. Strongest storms are from Bridgeport down to Stevenson and then to Scottsboro. These storms extend down into Blount, western Etowah, and northern St. Clair Counties. A significant weather advisory is in effect for these storms.
The NWS in Birmingham just issued a severe thunderstorm warning for northern Etowah County.
The line has developed all the way west across Central Alabama, affecting parts of Blount, Cullman, Winston, Walker, Marion, and northern Lamar Counties.
Everything is moving east southeast at 20-25 mph.
The severe thunderstorm watch has been canceled for all North Alabama counties except Jackson, DeKalb, and Marshall.
