New Severe T-Storm Warning for Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, & Etowah Counties Until 4:45 pm
A severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for portions of Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, and Etowah counties in Central Alabama until 4:45 pm this afternoon. Severe storms were located along a line from near Tabor Road to near Neely Henry Lake. These storms were moving to the east at 30 mph.
Locations to be impacted by these severe storms are Gadsden, Jacksonville, Rainbow City, Attalla, Piedmont, Hokes Bluff, Centre, Forney, Centre Municipal Airport, Glencoe, Leesburg, Reece City, Tennala, Tabor Road, Cherokee Rock Village, Pleasant Gap, Eastern Weiss Lake, Ballplay, Slackland and Gadsden Mall.
Saturated ground and strong wind may bring down trees and power lines. Be sure to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of your building. #StayWeatherAware
