The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Northeastern Walker County in central Alabama…
Southwestern Blount County in central Alabama…

* Until 545 PM CDT.

* At 502 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Smith Dam, or
10 miles north of Sumiton, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Hayden, Sipsey, Bangor, Arkadelphia, Smith Dam, Blount Springs,
Smith Lake, Powellville, Smoke Rise and Rickwood Caverns.
