Three distinct areas of storms across Alabama on this stormy Sunday.

Storms continue in the eastern part of the I-85 corridor. They are mainly across Chambers, Lee, and Macon Counties. They are now east of the Auburn/Opelika area. They will be affecting Lanett and Valley shortly.

A strong storm has just formed north of Jacksons Gap above US-280.

Storms are numerous across southern Calhoun and St. Clair counties. The strongest storm is south of Anniston along I-20.

Heavy thunderstorms over Northeast Alabama’s Jackson, DeKalb, Marshall, and Cherokee Counties. Strongest storms are southwest of Fort Payne.

The main line of storms extends from eastern Madison into western Marshall, Blount, and eastern Jefferson Counties, then there is a break until northeast Tuscaloosa County then extending across northern Hale, Greene and Sumter Counties.

Be in a safe place as the stronger storms approach your area. They are capable of wind gusts to 60 mph and small hail as well as dangerous lightning and torrential rains. There are numerous reports of trees down.
