Storms Entering Birmingham Metro Area

Storms entering the Birmingham area are not severe at this time, but they are packing a punch and could become severe at any time.

Storms extend from the Airport to North Birmingham to Graysville down through Mulga and Forestdale to Fairfield, and Midfield. They are pushing east.

A tree was just reported on a house in Fairfield.

Lots of lightning, about 26 flashes per minutes observed. Wind gusts to 40 mph, torrential rains.

In North Alabama, a new severe thunderstorm warning was just issued for Cullman, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, and Morgan Counties.
