Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Northern Half of Alabama Until 8 pm

Central Alabama counties include: Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Etowah, Fayette, Jefferson, Lamar, Marion, Pickens, Randolph, St. Clair, Shelby, Talladega, Tuscaloosa, Walker, and Winston.

North Alabama counties include: Colbert, Cullman, DeKalb, Franklin, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marshall, and Morgan.

A severe thunderstorm watch means that conditions are favorable for damaging winds and large hail in and close to the watch area.
