Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Parts of DeKalb County Until 2 pm

Storms have intensified this afternoon over Northeast Alabama near Fort Payne back to Geraldine. They are moving east northeast at 25-30 mph.

The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Southeastern DeKalb County in northeastern Alabama…

* Until 200 PM CDT.

* At 120 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Fort Payne,
moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Fort Payne, Rainsville, Sylvania, Valley Head, Hammondville,
Mentone, Pine Ridge, Dog Town, Adamsburg and Desoto State Park.
