Severe Thunderstorms Dropping Southeast

New severe thunderstorm warning for parts of Walker and northern Jefferson County until 3 p.m.

Winds could reach 60 mph and hail could be quarter size with the stronger storms.

The storms now extend from Mountanboro northwest of Gadsden, to Altoona and Oneonta, then across northern Blount and southern Cullman County, to onorth of Jasper, to Nauvoo to Brilliant and Guin to Smithville MS.

Trees are down in Walnut Grove in Etowah County.

Be in a safe place as these dangerous storms approach.
