Strong Storms in the Birmingham metro Again

LATE NOTE: Winds gusted to 43 mph at the Bessemer Airport.

For the second straight day, strong storms have developed in the Birmingham Metro.

Winds gusted to 38 mph along with heavy rain at the Birmingham Airport.

Radar is now showing downburst winds of 40-50 mph along the ridges near Bluff Park in the southern part of the county now.

Heavy rain may cause local flooding. Dangerous lightning is occurring as well.
