Flood Warning Issued for Cullman County
Strong storms over Cullman County are dumping lots of heavy rain. The storms are slipping south toward northern Jefferson County.
One hour rainfall rates are approaching two inches generally between Dodge City and The Colony. Some places are approaching 3 inches.
A flood warning has been issued for Cullman County.
…FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING…
* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE…A portion of north central Alabama, including the
following county, Cullman.
* WHEN…Until 700 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS…Low-water crossings may become inundated with water and
not be passable. Expect areas of slow moving or standing water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 508 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain
have fallen.

Hanceville, Good Hope, Dodge City, Garden City, Colony, Black
Bottom, Arkadelphia and Smith Lake.
