This storm is producing 30 flashes of lightning per minute. It is capable of 60 mph wind gusts and quarter sized hail.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Southern Lamar County in west central Alabama…

* Until 430 PM CDT.

* At 342 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles southwest
of Vernon, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

Millport, Kennedy, Cody, Hightogy, Melborne and Star.
