New Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northwest Pickens Until 630 pm

A second storm coming out of Lowndes County, Mississippi near New Hope will affect parts of Pickens County including Macedonia, Carrollton, and Pickensville.

The hail core is approaching Ethelsville now.

Expect at least one inch hail and wind gusts to 60 mph.

New storms have developed north of Birmingham. They extend from north of Jasper to Sumiton to Kimberly to Pinson. They extend into Talladega County southeast of Birmingham. They are increasing in intensity.

Other storms are over northeastern Cullman County down into Blount County.

A flood advisory has been issued for Marion, Lamar, Pickens, and Fayette Counties. Be alert is prolonged heavy rain sets up in your area.
