Severe Threat Is Over for Today; Watch Cancelled
Nearly all of Central Alabama is free from any shower and storm activity, except for the extreme southeastern parts of the area. The leading edge of the severe storm activity is now crossing over the Florida/Alabama state line and trailing back into Mississippi. That means the threat for severe weather for Central Alabama has come to an end for today. For that reason, NWS Birmingham has cancelled the Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Barbour and Pike counties, which completely ends the watch.
