Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued for the Northern Half of the State Until 2 am

The SPC along with NWS Huntsville and NWS Birmingham have issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for all the Tennessee Valley and the northern half of Central Alabama until 2 am Monday morning.

• Scattered hail up to ping pong size possible
• Scattered gusts up to 70 mph likely
• Frequent lightning possible

North Alabama counties under watch: Colbert, Cullman, DeKalb, Franklin, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marshall, Morgan.

Central Alabama counties under watch: Bibb, Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Etowah, Fayette, Jefferson, Lamar, Marion, Pickens, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Tuscaloosa, Walker, Winston.
