Flood Watch for Northwest Alabama

The magenta colors are flood watches

The NWS in Huntsville has issued a Flood Watch for parts of Northwest Alabama starting at midnight tonight and running through Thursday afternoon.

Very heavy rain will fall in a band from eastern Texas across northwestern Louisiana, Northwest Mississippi, Northwest Alabama, and western and Middle Tennessee through Thursday afternoon.

2-4 inches of rain is possible in this band, including the Northwest Corner of Alabama.

Be alert to heavy rainfall which can cause flooding. Remember the adage, Turn Around, Don’t Drown!
