The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Tornado Warning for…
Southeastern Franklin County in northwestern Alabama…
Southwestern Lawrence County in northwestern Alabama…

* Until 315 AM CDT.

* At 239 AM CDT, a tornado producing storm was located near
Hackleburg, or 8 miles west of Haleyville, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD…Damaging tornado.

SOURCE…Radar confirmed tornado.

IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

Phil Campbell around 245 AM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Bankhead National Forest.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.

Tornadoes are extremely difficult to see and confirm at night. Do not
