Lots of reports of trees and power lines down in Marion and Lamar Counties now.

Very strong winds are indicated on Doppler Radar near Aberdeen MS. Will move into Lamar County near or just south of Sulligent. Wind damage is posisble all along the line. Be in safe shelter as these dangerous storms approach.

18-wheelers were blown over near Tupelo.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Marion County in northwestern Alabama…
Western Fayette County in west central Alabama…
Lamar County in west central Alabama…

* Until 1045 AM CST.

* At 928 AM CST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Tishomingo to near Tibbee, moving northeast at
55 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
