A new severe thunderstrom warning was just issued by Huntsville for a sliver of Lauderdale County.

Strong storms riding the Alabama-Mississippi border north of Waterloo.

The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Northwestern Lauderdale County in northwestern Alabama…

* Until 315 PM CST.

* At 302 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm was located near Walnut Grove,
or 7 miles northeast of J P Coleman State Park, moving east at 35
mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northwestern Lauderdale County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature’s leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CST for northwestern
Alabama.
