…A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 AM CST FOR SOUTH
CENTRAL TUSCALOOSA…EAST CENTRAL GREENE AND NORTHERN HALE
COUNTIES…

AT 1005 AM CST, A CONFIRMED TORNADO WAS LOCATED OVER AKRON, OR 7
MILES NORTHEAST OF EUTAW, MOVING EAST AT 50 MPH.

HAZARD…DAMAGING TORNADO.

SOURCE…RADAR CONFIRMED TORNADO.

IMPACT…FLYING DEBRIS WILL BE DANGEROUS TO THOSE CAUGHT WITHOUT
SHELTER. MOBILE HOMES WILL BE DAMAGED OR DESTROYED. DAMAGE
TO ROOFS, WINDOWS, AND VEHICLES WILL OCCUR. TREE DAMAGE IS
LIKELY.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE…
MOUNDVILLE, AKRON, MOUND STATE PARK, DUNCANVILLE, PEARSON, ELLIOTS
CREEK, MOUNDVILLE AIRPORT, PHIPPS, HAVANA AND HAGLER.

TO REPEAT, A TORNADO IS ON THE GROUND. TAKE COVER NOW! MOVE TO A
BASEMENT OR AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF A STURDY
BUILDING. AVOID WINDOWS. IF YOU ARE OUTDOORS, IN A MOBILE HOME, OR IN
A VEHICLE, MOVE TO THE CLOSEST SUBSTANTIAL SHELTER AND PROTECT
YOURSELF FROM FLYING DEBRIS.

South central Tuscaloosa County in west central Alabama…
East central Greene County in west central Alabama…
Northern Hale County in west central Alabama…

* Until 1045 AM CST.

* At 950 AM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Eutaw, moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD…Tornado.

SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include…
Eutaw, Moundville, Akron, Evansville, Moundville Airport, Phipps,
Eutaw Municipal Airport, Hagler, Hull, Mound State Park,
Duncanville, Pearson, Elliots Creek, I 20 Rest Area Near Eutaw,
Harper Hill and Havana.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.
