Cold Pattern For Christmas

| December 11, 2022 @ 11:25 am

While there is no skill in a specific forecast two weeks out, there is skill at pattern recognition, and the pattern looks cold for much of North America.

A cross-Polar flow develops, delivering Arctic air down into the U.S. in the 7-14 day period. We will begin to feel this air toward the end of the coming week with highs in the 40s and lows in the 20s by the weekend. Temperatures will likely remain below average, possibly well below average through at least Christmas.

No way of knowing specific temperatures now, or if there will be a chance of precipitation, but for cold weather fans, your time is coming.
