While an Isolated Storm Can’t Be Ruled Out, the Severe T-Storm Watch Was Allowed to Expire
The Severe Thunderstorm Watch was allowed to expire at 11 pm for Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Marengo, Marion, Pickens, Sumter, Tuscaloosa, and Winston counties. However, an isolated strong to severe storm cannot be ruled out over the western parts of the area throughout the rest of the late-night and into the pre-dawn hours.
No Severe Thunderstorm Warnings are currently in effect, and one Flash Flood Warning continues until 4:15 am Friday morning for Marengo and Sumter counties.
Rain continues for a large portion of the southern half of the area, especially from Montgomery westward to Demopolis and York. The strongest storms are located over portions of Marion, Winston, and Fayette counties, and these will continue to push slowly southward.
