Mostly Dry Weekend Ahead; Showers Will Be Few And Far Between

RADAR CHECK: There is very little on radar this afternoon across Alabama… most of the showers and storms are over Mobile and Baldwin counties at mid-afternoon. The rest of the state is enjoying a good supply of sunshine with temperatures mostly in the low 90s. Showers over South Alabama will end this evening, and the sky will be mostly fair.

THE ALABAMA WEEKEND: For now the weather looks mostly dry with sunny days and fair nights. Of course, there is always some risk of a pop up afternoon storm in mid-July, but odds of any one spot getting wet are only 5-10 percent over the northern 2/3 of the state. Expect highs in the 91-94 degree range for most communities.

NEXT WEEK: For now it looks like routine summer weather through the week with partly sunny days and mostly fair nights. A few random storms could form during the afternoon and evening hours, but for now no sign of any enhanced rain coverage through the week. TROPICS: Still no sign of any tropical storms or hurricanes across the Atlantic basin through next week. Remember, the peak of the season is yet to come… August, September, and early October. The season ends at the end of November.
