Warm, Dry Weekend Ahead; A Few Showers By Tuesday
WARM AFTERNOONS: Dry weather will continue across Alabama through Sunday with mostly sunny days and fair nights. The high today will be in the low 80s for most communities, followed by mid 80s tomorrow and Sunday. It will be the warmest weekend so far this year, and a nice summer preview. Despite the warmth, no records are in danger… here are the record highs over the next three days:
Today (April 22) 90 in 1987
Tomorrow (April 23) 90 in 1896
Sunday (April 24) 90 in 1925
NEXT WEEK: A weakening cold front will bring a few showers to the state Monday night and Tuesday; with limited moisture and dynamic support rain amounts should be 1/4″ or less. Then, the weather will be dry Wednesday through Friday. Highs drop into the 70s during the mid-week period, but then we rise back into the 80s by Thursday and Friday. Still no sign of any severe weather threats for Alabama through the first few days of May… See the Weather Xtreme video for maps, graphics, and more details.
