The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Central DeKalb County in northeastern Alabama…

* Until 630 PM CDT.

* At 526 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Geraldine, or
10 miles southwest of Rainsville, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Fort Payne, Rainsville, Sylvania, Fyffe, Powell, Geraldine, Valley
Head, Hammondville, Mentone and Pine Ridge.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for northeastern
Alabama.
