CANCELED — TORNADO WARNING: Parts of Lee, Tallapoosa Co. Until 12 pm

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Tornado Warning for…
Northwestern Lee County in east central Alabama…
Southeastern Tallapoosa County in east central Alabama…

* Until noon CDT.

* At 1111 AM CDT, a tornado producing storm was located over Kent, or
near Tallassee, moving east at 55 mph.

HAZARD…Damaging tornado.

SOURCE…Radar confirmed tornado.

IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include…
Camp Hill, Waverly, Martin Dam, Southern Lake Martin, Roxana,
Reeltown and Yates Reservoir.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.
