The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Franklin County in northwestern Alabama…

* Until 1000 PM CST.

* At 925 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles southeast
of Red Bay, moving east at 55 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Russellville, Red Bay, Phil Campbell, Belgreen, Vina, Hodges,
Atwood, Tharptown, Duketon and Rockwood.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until midnight CST for north
central and northwestern Alabama.
