Slight Risk Removed; Marginal Risk Remains for the Southeastern Parts of Central Alabama

The SPC just released their latest update to the Day One Severe Weather Outlook, and only the southeastern parts of Central Alabama remain in a Marginal Risk for severe storms through the rest of tonight. The Marginal Risk includes locations along and east of a line from Ranburne (Cleburne Co.) to Daviston (Tallapoosa Co.) to Shady Grove (Pike Co.), which includes the cities of Auburn, Eufaula, and Troy.

The severe weather threat has ended for the rest of North/Central Alabama, as colder, more stable air is moving in rapidly behind the line of rain and storms.

The Tornado Watch continues until 8 pm for Barbour, Bullock, Chambers, Lee, Macon, Pike, and Russell counties in Central Alabama.

The Flood Watch continues until 6 am Friday for Autauga, Bibb, Calhoun, Chambers, Chilton, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Montgomery, Perry, Randolph, Shelby, Talladega, and Tallapoosa counties in Central Alabama, and until 9 pm tonight for Cullman, DeKalb, Jackson, Madison, Marshall, and Morgan counties in North Alabama.
