Areal Flood Watch Extended; List of Active Areal Flood Advisories

Heavy rain with these morning thunderstorms continue to move over the same areas that has already received a good bit of rain, and has led to several Areal Flood Advisories being issued. Here is a quick list of those advisories:

Areal Flood Advisory in effect for parts of Greene, Pickens, and Sumter counties until 7:30 am this morning.

Areal Flood Advisory in effect for parts of Jefferson County until 8:45 am this morning.

Areal Flood Advisory in effect for parts of Calhoun and Cleburne counties until 9:30 am this morning.

Areal Flood Advisory in effect for parts of Bibb and Shelby counties until 10:15 am this morning.

NWS Birmingham has also extended the Areal Flood Watch until 6 pm tonight for the following counties in Central Alabama: Autauga, Bibb, Blount, Calhoun, Chambers, Cherokee, Chilton, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Elmore, Etowah, Greene, Hale, Jefferson, Perry, Pickens, Randolph, Shelby, St. Clair, Sumter, Talladega, Tallapoosa, and Tuscaloosa.
