The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Northeastern Walker County in central Alabama…
Southeastern Winston County in northwestern Alabama…

* Until 745 PM CST.

* At 713 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm was located near Camp
McDowell, or 8 miles northeast of Carbon Hill, moving east at 50
mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Jasper, Arley, Nauvoo, Curry, Camp McDowell, Smith Dam, Ashbank,
Smith Lake, Poplar Springs, Falls City, Maple Branch, Clear Creek,
Little Dismal Creek, Coon Creek, Powellville, Lupton, Hidden Cove
Campground, Battle Branch, Black Pond and Wilson Bend.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CST for central and
northwestern Alabama.

building.
