Halloween Update: All Clear for Trick or Treating!
This beautiful satellite image tells the story of Alabama and national weather late on this last Sunday in October.
Persistent cloudiness has been slow to erode over eastern Alabama, but the rest of the state has bright, blue skies.
Temperatures are in the 50s across much of the area, with the exception of lower 60s down around Montgomery.
The remainder of the afternoon should be beautiful. The clouds over eastern Alabama should eventually evaporate. This will set the stage for a beautiful evening for trick or treating. Temperatures will be falling through the 50s during the evening heading toward lows in the 40s.
Tomorrow will be a lot like today minus the eastern Alabama clouds. Skies will be partly cloudy with highs in the upper 60s. Several spots will hit 70F.
Tuesday will be partly cloudy and slightly cooler. Clouds will increase late Wednesday with a chance of an overnight shower. Showers will be a possibility on Thursday.
In the tropics, Subtropical Storm Wanda is about 1,260 miles east northeast of Bermuda. The path will describe a fishhook before it is over and the storm moves out to the northeast.
