The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Northern Cherokee County in northeastern Alabama…

* Until 615 PM CDT.

* At 544 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Little River
Canyon National Preserve, moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include…
Little River Canyon National Preserve, Gaylesville, Blanche, Little
River Falls, Western Weiss Lake, Broomtown, Fullerton, New Moon,
Chesterfield and Little River Canyon NP.
