Heads Up Southwestern Pike County… Tornado-Warned Storm Heading Your Way

A Tornado-Warned storm is moving northeast across Crenshaw County and was very close to Brantley. If you are located anywhere from Goshen to Spring Hill to Brundidge in southern and southwestern parts of Pike County, be ready to move to your safe place as a warning may be coming shortly. Here are the details on the warning for Crenshaw County…

…A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 AM CDT FOR
SOUTHEASTERN CRENSHAW COUNTY…

At 632 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Dozier, or 15 miles south of Luverne, moving
northeast at 65 mph.

HAZARD…Tornado.

SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

Brantley around 640 AM CDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.
