EXPIRED Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Parts of Marengo County Until 8:30 a.m.

The warning has expired. The storm has weakened and is southwest of Uniontown. It still has dangerous lightning, heav y rain, and gusty winds. There could still be some small hail as well.

The storm over Southwest Alabama that weakened earlier has re-intensified. It is near Linden at 8:05 a.m. It will track near Providence and over parts of Marengo County, moving toward Gallion, Faunsdale, and Uniontown.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for…
Northeastern Marengo County in southwestern Alabama…

* Until 830 AM CDT.

* At 806 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Chickasaw
State Park, or near Linden, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

Linden, Faunsdale, Dayton, Chickasaw State Park and Old Spring
Hill.
