Cullman County Now Under Flash Flood Warning until 115 p.m.

Rainfall is now approaching 4 inches over western Cullman County. More very heavy rainfall will be moving in from the west. Be aware of potential flooding this morning. Turn Around, Don’t Drown!!

The NWS in Huntsville has now changed the Flood Warning for Cullman County to a Flash Flood Warning.

The National Weather Service in Huntsville has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for…
Southern Cullman County in north central Alabama…

* Until 115 PM CDT.

* At 721 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT…Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
drainage and low lying areas.

Hanceville, Good Hope, Dodge City, Garden City, Colony, Bremen,
Black Bottom, Smith Lake, Arkadelphia, Logan, Wilburn, Phelan,
Crane Hill and Walter.

* At 621 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in
the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
