Marengo County in southwestern Alabama…
* Until 530 PM CDT.
* At 427 PM CDT, a tornado producing storm was located near Putnam,
or 12 miles southeast of Butler, moving northeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD…Damaging tornado and quarter size hail.
SOURCE…Radar confirmed tornado.
IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

Linden, Thomaston, Sweet Water, Dayton, Putnam, Freddie Jones
Field, Nanafalia, Consul, Magnolia, Wayne, Miller, Chickasaw State
Park, Dixons Mill, Half Acre, Octagon, Clayhill, Nicholsville and

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy
building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in
a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect
yourself from flying debris.
