Tornado Warning Continues for Dallas Until 4:45 pm, Canceled for Perry Co.

…THE TORNADO WARNING FOR SOUTHWESTERN PERRY COUNTY IS CANCELLED…

The tornadic thunderstorm which prompted the warning has moved out
of the warned area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for south central
and central Alabama.

…A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 PM CDT FOR WEST
CENTRAL DALLAS COUNTY…

At 421 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Bogue Chitto, or 11 miles southeast of Uniontown,
moving northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD…Tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

Locations impacted include…
Marion Junction, Potter Station, Bogue Chitto and Safford.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

Southwestern Perry County in central Alabama…
West central Dallas County in south central Alabama…

* Until 445 PM CDT.

* At 358 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Consul, or 14 miles south of Uniontown, moving
northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD…Tornado.

SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.
