Strong Storms Affecting Cullman & Morgan Counties

…SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR NORTHWESTERN CULLMAN AND
SOUTHWESTERN MORGAN COUNTIES UNTIL 230 PM CDT…

At 202 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Sardis, or 13 miles northwest of Cullman, moving east at 35 mph.

Pea size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include…
Falkville, Vinemont, Somerville, Baileyton, West Point, Eva, Lacon,
Jones Chapel, Florette and Cole Springs.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Strong gusty winds will be capable of knocking down small tree limbs
along with other small unsecured items. Seek safe shelter until this
storm has passed.
