Strong Storms Affecting Talladega & St. Clair Counties

…SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR TALLADEGA AND SOUTHERN ST. CLAIR
COUNTIES UNTIL 215 AM CST…

At 133 AM CST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Leeds to near Chelsea. Movement was east
at 50 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include…
Talladega, Pell City, Leeds, Moody, Childersburg, Lincoln, Riverside,
Vincent, Harpersville, Munford, Waldo, Alpine Bay Resort, Winterboro,
Bald Rock, Talladega Superspeedway, Talladega Municipal Airport,
Grant Town, Alpine, Logan Martin Lake and Honda Manufacturing Of
Alabama.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
