A Pre-Dawn Check on Our Weather
RADAR CHECK: As of 4:50 am, we have some scattered shower activity moving northeastward across mainly the western portions of Central Alabama, with a few scattered showers showing up over the northeastern parts as well. None of this activity is heavy and the intensity of these showers should stay light to moderate throughout the day.
A main push of the moisture will occur starting later this morning as these showers may become a little better organized in a line and will eventually move through the western parts of the area until the evening hours when locations west of I-59 will dry out. A few showers look to linger across the east and southeastern parts of the area during the late-night and overnight hours.
No strong to severe storms are possible today as we will be lacking any instability to get anything going. We may be able to make it through this system without any thunder as well.
I’m working on the Weather Xtreme Video as you read this, so stay tuned as it will have your forecast for the next seven days.
