The post-Jaylen Waddle era continues Saturday as Alabama welcomes 1-3 Mississippi State to Bryant-Denny Stadium for a 6 p.m. game on ESPN.
Waddle, one of the most electrifying players in college football, was lost for the remainder of the season when he suffered a broken ankle while returning the opening kickoff in Alabama’s 48-17 victory over Tennessee last Saturday.
Redshirt sophomore Slade Bolden immediately slid into Waddle’s slot. The 5-foot-11, 191-pound native of West Monroe, Louisiana, caught the first pass of the game and finished with six catches for 94 yards with a long of 30 yards.
