Tornado Watch for Much of Southwest Alabama Until 1 p.m.

A tornado watch has been issued for much of southwestern Alabama, a small part of southeastern Mississippi and a portion of the western Florida Panhandle as the main convective band to the east of weakening Tropical Storm Delta moves across the watch area.

This activity will lift up into Central Alabama later today and as the heating of the day commences and instability levels rise, the threat for tornadoes will increase across Central Alabama.
