At 1100 PM AST (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Wilfred was located near latitude 12.8 North, longitude 36.0 West. Wilfred is moving toward the west-northwest near 18 mph (30 km/h), and this general motion is expected to continue for the next few days.
Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Some slight strengthening is possible Saturday before weakening likely begins by Sunday.
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 140 miles (220 km) from the center.
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1008 MB (29.77 inches).
