Strong Storm Approaching Lake Guntersville in Marshall Co.

…SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR EAST CENTRAL MARSHALL AND
SOUTHWESTERN DEKALB COUNTIES UNTIL 300 PM CDT…

At 210 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles northeast of Albertville, moving west at 5 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include…
Albertville, Guntersville, McVille, Hopewell, Painter, Hustleville,
Whiton, Rabbit Town, Columbus City and Lake Guntersville St Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Very heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike several miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a
safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
