Some Lightning over East Alabama Now, Strong Storms Grazing Jackson County As Well
Starting to see lightning from a coupe o the storms over Cleburne County in East Alabama now.
One storm is riding the Georgia border, another is just north of Heflin. Heflin will experience brief heavy rain and lightning in the next ten minutes. Another strong cell has popped up near DeArmanville. Everything is tracking slowly southward.
In southern Tennessee, strong storms northeast of Winchester may affect northern Jackson County in Northeast Alabama. Watch out for lightning, heavy rain, and gusty winds from these storms. The Weather Service in Huntsville has published a significant weather alert for these cells for the northern portion of Jackson County.
Elsewhere, an isolated shower over eastern Tuscaloosa County and a couple of showers along the Talladega/Clay County line and over Clay County west of Ashland.
