The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flood Advisory for…
Southwestern Bibb County in central Alabama…
Northwestern Perry County in central Alabama…
Eastern Hale County in west central Alabama…
Tuscaloosa County in west central Alabama…

* Until 500 PM CDT.

* At 149 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area.

Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Tuscaloosa, Northport, Marion, Greensboro, Holt, Moundville,
Brookwood, Coaling, Vance, Coker, Newbern, Shelton State Community
College, McFarland Mall, University Mall, Low Gap, Bryant Denny
Stadium, Lake Wildwood, Tuscaloosa Amphitheater, Deerlick Creek
Campgrounds and Tuscaloosa Regional Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
