Strong Storm Affecting Dallas County

A strong thunderstorm with the threat of hail up to 1/2-inch in diameter and strong winds in excess of 40 MPH was located over Bogue Chitto and southeast of Uniontown. The movement was to the northeast at 30 MPH.

Heads up if you are in Selma, Orrville, Bogue Chitto, Dallas County Horse Arena, Potter Station, Skyharbor Airport, and Hazen.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
