Lots of Damage in Chilton and Talllapoosa Counties; Storm Now Entering Chambers and Lee Counties

| April 19, 2020 @ 7:35 am

This photo from Tracy McDaniel showing a large oak tree down in Thorsby is just one of multiple reports of wind damage in Chilton and Tallapoosa Counties. Extensive wind damage is likely still being done even though the storm appears to be weaker.

James reports from Facebook: multiple tree down across Coosa County all the way to Tallapoosa line (Rockford, Ray and Hanover). Some on houses and cars. Coosa 911 is jammed and people have been calling Talladega 911 office saying they can not get through and need an Ambulance.

Take cover now in Chambers and Lee Counties! Severe thunderstorm warning in effect.
